Our programs include:

Double Up Food Bucks NY helps low-income families stretch their food budget, increases access to fresh produce and invests in our local farmers.

Double Up provides families receiving SNAP (formerly food stamp) benefits with a $1 for $1 match on all purchases, up to $20 per day, that can be used to purchase NY grown produce. What started here in WNY in 2014 at 7 farmers markets has grown to 27 counties across New York State operating at over 230+ unique locations, serving over 100,000 people.

Niagara Falls Local Food Action Plan, formed by the Healthy Food Healthy People working group, is a road map for improving the entire local food system in the City of Niagara Falls, from production to consumption. It began with a simple vision of having Niagara Falls residents understand the value of, be able to, and choose to eat healthy foods. The plan that has been formed – through significant resident input and feedback – represents an evolving vision to address food access issues in an effective and meaningful way. Each priority area of the plan reflects the concerns of the Niagara Falls community. The vision is: within each of the four priority areas (Agriculture, Economic Development, Education, Healthy Neighborhoods), residents and organizations will be able to take on what is meaningful to them and tackle that issue with the support of their peers, network partners and the City of Niagara Falls.
